Episode 42 How Do You Know You Are Being Promoted by God? God’s Path Doesn’t Make Sense: Trusting His Promptings

Have you ever felt God nudging you in a direction that didn’t make sense? In this episode, I share a personal story about being prompted by God to take an unexpected step—one that challenged my plans and logic but revealed His greater purpose.

Right before New Year’s, I received a message from a friend in the water safety community who had tragically lost his twin boys. It reminded me of my own experience of losing my daughter to drowning in 1993. Days later, I saw a post about his upcoming Twin Tots 5K Run and Vigil. Though I initially dismissed the idea of attending due to timing and expense, I felt an undeniable weight in my spirit that God wanted me there.

As I wrestled with the decision, God began connecting the dots, reminding me of my mission for this year: to run a 5K. Through conversations with my coach and reflection on past experiences—like giving away 25,000 crosses in obedience—I realized this call wasn’t about convenience or logic. It was about faith, trust, and walking in obedience, even when the path is unclear.
